I was born in Montreal, at the Royal Victoria Hospital, March 6, 1955. I have been divorced for 16 years, raised my son alone since he was 3 years old.

Steven my only child is 20 years old and I am the proud grandmother of a 17 month old baby boy, Tyler Anthony Henry Roach.

I live with my son, my cat Tao, and my Pekinese dog Putz. I love animals and would have a house full if the landlord would accept.

I was an office worker for 12 years while my son was growing up. Then I went back to school when he was 16. I have a B.A. in psychology, I did a year at the masters level in family life education and now I am starting my masters in counseling psychology. Besides that, I have a certificate in Medical Terminology and one in Office Technology.

Beside the hectic life of school I do a lot of volunteer work, I volunteered for 8 years in a single parent association where I did every position on the board, my favorite being membership director because I got to meet all the people.

I am a people person. Now I am volunteering my time with the social service agency (English) in Montreal, where I advocate for the clients, who are youths or parents of youth who are young offenders or in need of youth protection by the government. I also am the treasurer for that association.

My favorite music is R&B and Pop. I hate Rap to death but I hear it constantly with my son. My favorite hobbies, are talking in gamman's, talking on the phone for hours on end and playing scrabble. I also like to hang out in cafes with my friends, visit museums, go to plays and dine out. The odd time I play bingo.

Although I know how to laugh I am very serious by nature, sometimes too much so. I am very friendly and make friends very easily. The friends I have are true friends and beautiful people and I am blessed to have them.

I enjoy helping people and spend a lot of my time being a listening ear, a support person, a shoulder to cry on, etc. I also tutor at the undergraduate university level and I edit term papers.

My father is an English man whose grandparents are from England, and my mother is a French Canadian woman. My dad from Montreal, and my mom is from New Brunswick Canada. I have two sisters both married and neither they nor there husbands or children speak English. I was raised with my English grandmother and was educated in English so I identify with my English origin only.

When I find the time, I want to start to investigate eastern religions more closely though I have had university courses in the area al ready. I am particularly interested in eastern meditation and the journey to god. Yoga actually means union with god. Being a student of psychology I also believe that the way to know a person is to understand their religious beliefs.

I am also extremely interested in the paranormal. I love tarot card readings as my friends in gamman's will attest to. and I have a bit of psych ability myself. I have had prophetic dreams, and I can sense things about certain individuals, or predict things at times without knowing why or how I do it. I have been told that I pick up on the aura of people however, my eye is not trained to actually see the colours. I usually can sense when there is trouble with an individual sometimes before the individual is aware of it himself ( only happens with men).

So my interests are religion, mysticism, and paranormal. Love such programs as the outer limits for example. However in terms of movies I love horror movies, of the classic gender, Bela Lagosi, Peter Lorri, Vincent Price, Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney jr., and I love dramas of all sorts, You will especially find me glued to the TV if there is a psychological drama on.

After finishing my degree, I will counsel, and perhaps continue in criminology. I may relocate to the states, since jobs in Montreal are scarce.

I would have to say that my favorite colour is black, I wear that colour more than any other. My favorite flower is the blue rose, my favorite song is unchained melody; favorite all time movie is "Imitation of Life"; favorite flower is a blue rose. My favorite animal is none other than the mythical Pegasus, the white winged horse, followed by the unicorn.

My heroes are Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Paul Emile Cardinal Leger, and Martin Luther King Jr.
